XTREME WEATHER | PROGRAM IDENTITY

New England is home to Nor'Easters and Bomb Cyclones and experiences some extreme weather especially during the winter season. WCVB-5 Boston wanted a special program that focuses on these extreme weather systems and highlights the areas that are most affected to inform and protect viewers from the risks of extreme snowfall, flooding, freezing ice and high winds.

We designed an original program identity that captures the intensity and effects of this extreme weather content in a dramatic framework for on-air broadcast use. Design elements include an animated Title open, full-screen motion backgrounds, over-the-shoulder & standing anchor graphics, Coming Up Next, and live captions for up to the minute information.
