JAZZ ON THE POND | FUNDRAISING CONCERT
BIG Fish. Small Pond
JOTP is a private nonprofit family organization that features top-name jazz artists for an evening of summer magic in a private backyard setting to help fund college educations for aspiring musicians.
The concert promoters wanted to elevate their brand identity, raise awareness of their fundraising event and attract jazz lovers to the live performances by world-renowned artists like John Legend, Earth Wind & Fire, Everette Harp, Chaka Khan, Rick Braun, Jeffrey Osborne, and the Mambo Kings.
Our Approach
BIG Fish. Small Pond. That was our creative focus. To promote this incredible music festival of top talent and jazz magic on a pond in a private backyard setting. To capture the beauty and magic of global musicians helping local musicians succeed. The design features the amazing talent and performances at the event and evokes a cool, summer jazz vibe. The proceeds from the event keep it real for aspiring musicians to pursue their passion with full scholarships to the George Eastman School of Music.
What started as a casual backyard barbecue among friends.. oh, did we forget to mention the Mambo Kings are playing on the deck? grew each year to include bigger performances and a bigger tent! The pond was calling... Earth, Wind & Fire, Jeffery Osborn. Finally a big stage with lights, cameras, and magic! Listening to John Legend sing, Everette Harp play the sax, and Rick Braun on the trumpet. Pure summer magic!
Raise Awareness & Promote Event To create a buzz and awareness of the event, we designed + produced JOTP marketing materials including Website Design, Event mailers, Save the Date, Event and Featured Artists posters, Sponsor Wall for red carpet photography, Event banners, and collectors print memorabilia that sold at the event for additional fundraising.
The Results
With a cool brand identity and social media sites, JOTP elevated their online presence and brand recognition for fans and musicians alike. They have experienced many milestones and success and have raised over $100,000 in scholarship funds for aspiring musicians to receive the recognition & opportunities to pursue their passion. They continue to flirt with the idea of a reunion, but we'll believe that when the pond freezes over... soon we hope!
